Enjoy the Mediterranean flair of Dorf Tirol with its countless walking and hiking trails in one of the most beautiful areas of South Tyrol, the mild climate of the Merano basin and the wonderfully varied nature between palm trees and alpine pastures together with the living tradition and culture of South Tyrol. We are also the ideal starting point for numerous hikes of varying degrees of difficulty along irrigation channels, themed trails and mountain paths. You can look forward to more than 600 kilometres of hiking trails in the immediate vicinity.

Located in the centre, we are the ideal starting point for numerous explorations. The "Promenade of Dorf Tirol", the marvellous Falknerweg trail to Tirol Castle and the four themed trails for a leisurely walk with wonderful views start in the immediate vicinity of our hotel and restaurant. In particular, the varied and interesting apple trail and the wine trail in our beautiful cultural landscape offer a nice and cosy round near the village and are connected to more extensive hikes. Various Waalweg trails also invite you to take leisurely walks and for more challenging tours, countless paths lead into the Texelgruppe Nature Park with the idyllic Spronser mountain lakes and mountain peaks up to over 3,000 metres.

Take advantage of the proximity to the spa town of Merano for a leisurely stroll under the arcades, a visit to the Merano thermal baths with 25 different pools and pools and a wonderful park, or a visit to the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Europe. You can reach Merano from our hotel restaurant either on foot in about 30 minutes, by public bus, which starts less than 100 metres away, or by the nostalgic chairlift, which takes you directly to the centre of Merano.
